Set on a farmstead in the beautiful hills of Southwest Wisconsin, we established Pheasants Run Kennels in 2003. We are dedicated solely to the breeding of Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, we have no other colors and no other breeds. Ours is a family affair, we breed and hand raise our puppies, they are well socialized and somewhat spoiled by the time they go home.  We breed a wonderful line of Chocolate Labradors,providing puppies not only family pets, but also hunting companions.  The extended pedigrees of our chocolate labs speaks for itself with field trial champions and skilled and proven hunters. On the occasions when we have provided retrievers for hunting, the results have been outstanding, with our lab puppies performing extremely well, many times with absolutely no formal training and some have even been known to point!

Chocolate Labrador puppies and stud service available!  All our puppies come with a 2 year guarantee on genetic defects of the eyes, hips and elbows. Our puppies, male and female, are $750 with full registration or $650 with limited registration. Reservations are $200. We accept 8 deposits, 4 males, 4 females until puppies are born and we have an actual count. At that point a waiting list is set up. It is not unusual for all 8 deposits to be taken before the puppies are even born. Deposits are non refundable! If we are not able to provide a healthy puppy from your chosen litter, your deposit will be applied to the next litter of your choice. We currently have about 1 litter per year. If you simply change your mind, your deposit is forfeited. We will occasionally allow a deposit to be held over to the next litter in the event of a valid family emergency. If you want a puppy, you should first email us to make sure it is still available and then send your deposit via PayPal. If you'd like to talk via phone, include your phone number in your email and we will call you. Shipping or delivery can be arranged for additional fees in the continental US.
